It is quite unusual to achieve sales growth in the COVID-19 year 2020. But Soorce has achieved much more: The digital freelancer agency has once again advanced to the top 1,000 companies in Europe that have achieved record revenue growth.

With a ranking of 380th, the Mannheim-based company has managed to secure a place in the top half of the rankings. This is what the „Financial Times“ found out with „Statista“, in a Europe-wide analysis of companies.

The ranking was calculated annually for the sixth time. The title this year: „FT-1000 – Europe’s Fastest Growing Companies 2022“. And the figures for Soorce are impressive: the agency’s revenue in 2017 was 3.0 million euros, and just three years later the ratio shot up – to 15.6 million euros. This corresponds to an absolute growth of 420 percent year-on-year. Or in other words: The company has more than quintupled its sales.

But the ranking was based on a different indicator: the compound annual growth rate (CAGR). This business term stands for the annual growth rate over a specific period. In this analysis, it was three years. The CAGR indicates the average growth per year, taking compound interest effects into account. Specifically, in Soorce’s case, the company’s sales grew at an average annual rate of 73 percent from 2017 to 2020. This is also reflected in jobs: in 2020, 22 people worked for Soorce, compared to just 11 in 2017. In 2022, 60 people now work for the digital freelancer agency.
